About the winemaker

Personal information

Name: Delmotte, Thibaut
Age: 38
Education: Expert on wine growing and oenology, Beaune, Burgundy, France

Opinion: It is a clear exponent of high-altitude Malbecs with fruit sourced from vineyards of elevations between 2,300 metres and 2,700 metres.
Vision of the Argentinian wine industry: Although Argentina has a long wine growing tradition, the elaboration of high quality wine is quite new. In the last 15-20 years, the quality of Argentinean wines has evolved steadily. We have not reached the maximum potential yet. We may improve even more. Furthermore, Argentina has the advantage of having the best wines made with varieties which are unusual in the world, such as Torrontés and Malbec. Wine growing has good prospects in Argentina.
