Iscay, in ‘quechua’ language means ‘two’, and as a tribute to the Inca culture, Trapiche decided to use this word to symbolize the two great wines.
2010 Trapiche Iscay Syrah-Viognier is a Super Premium blend for which Daniel Pi, Chief Winemaker of Trapiche, invited the renowned winemaker form California,Joey Tensley, to design it.
A few months before its presentation, this wine received important mentions and was awarded Gold Medals in prestigious contests: 2012 Decanter World Wine Awards, Sélections Mondiales des Vins, 2012 Les Citadelles du Vin, 2012 Argentina Wine Awards.
2008 Trapiche Iscay Malbec-Cabernet Franc comes from two different vineyards and brings together Agronomist Marcelo Belmonte’s skills in terroir management and Daniel Pi’s experience in winemaking.
This wine was awarded a Gold Trophy at the 2012 International Wine Challenge and Gold Medals at 2012 Decanter World Wine Awards, 2012 Argentina Wine Awards, 2012 Berliner Wein Trophy and 2012 Les Citadelles du Vin.
