Rutini, belonging to La Rural of Catena Zapata group, will make an outlay of USD18 million on extending its facilities located in Tupungato, Mendoza.
The winery will intend the investment for reaching a capacity of 8 million liters of high-end wines (for Rutini and Trumpeter lines), with 3,500 oak barrels, and a capacity of 400,000 bottles of sparkling wine made under the traditional or Champenoise method. The winery expects to finish 70% of the works next April, according to “Punto a Punto Mendoza”.
Mariano Di Paola, Rutini’s manager and head winemaker, explained that “with this extension, we will reach around 12,000 m2 of building area. Besides, we count on the experimental facility, where we will carry out microvinifications with all possible varieties.”
“Last year, we grew by 30% in sales in terms of volume, positioning Trumpeter as the segment’s leading brand,” highlighted Di Paola.
