Montechez, winery devoted to the top-quality wine production, won a silver medal with its wine Montechez Edición Limitada Malbec 2012, during the 2015 edition of the contest organized by the prestigious English magazine, “Decanter World Wine Awards 2015″, one of the most important wine competitions under the sun.
The winery produces its own grapes from three estates located in Mendoza, in the region of Luján de Cuyo (Alto Ugarteche) and the Uco Valley (La Consulta and Altamira). Besides, it counts on the winemaking advice of Roberto de la Mota.
Montechez Edición Limitada Malbec 2012, made from estate-grown grapes, from San Carlos, Uco Valley, displays an intense fruity and floral aroma, and was aged in French oak barrels during 16 months. This exponent has also obtained important recognitions at the Argentina Wine Awards and outstanding scores from well-known critic Tim Atkins.
