The new item of “Estrella de Los Andes”

The winery launched its Estrella Negra Selección Blend, a limited edition of 3,000 bottles. The blend is made up of 90% Malbec and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Sie7e Pasos Torrontés

Grape variety: Torrontés 100%
Sight: Bright yellow color with golden hues
Nose: Roses, white soft peaches and exquisite aromas of fruit salad with a touch of Muscat can be perceived
Mouth: The palate has a nice entry with hints of orange peel, peaches, honey and chamomile. Its oak aging incorporates some touches of vanilla, delivering a harmonious and balanced finish, citrus notes evoke a delicate acidity, providing a subtle complexity

Estrella de los Andes Cabernet Sauvignon

Grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon 100%
Sight: Cabernet of deep-red color.
Nose: Fruity aromas of blackberries and currants with a hint of green peppers, very characteristic of the varietal.
Mouth: A long finish and refined tannins.

Estrella de los Andes Malbec

Grape variety: Malbec 100%
Sight: Red ruby.
Nose: Red fruits, especially fresh ripe plums, can be percieved with a light touch of vanilla.
Mouth: Good harmony and balance, with sweet tannins and very nice finish.

About us

Estrella de los Andes is located in Perdriel (Luján de Cuyo) at 945 meters asl, 32º56’ south latitude and 68º 49’ west longitude. Perdriel is known as the ‘land of Malbec’, it has a semi-desert climate and an average annual temperature of 61º F. In the summer there is a wide fluctuation between day-and-night-time temperatures, which is necessary for the vines to rest from the hot sun. This way we obtain full-bodied wines with marked alcohol levels and fruit flavors that catch and seduce with their soft and silky personality.

The proximity to the mountains allows us to use water from the Andes, which is clear, pure and rich in minerals, for irrigation.

In the winery’s surroundings, there are olive trees -two of the most representative varieties of the area, Frantoio and Arauco- that create a unique landscape.

The structure of Estrella de los Andes winery fits perfectly into the traditional landscape of Luján de Cuyo. It is characterized by the contrast between its old structure and the modern machinery (imported from Italy) for processing and bottling wine.
