This premium wine of the winery located in Neuquén was aged 15 months in 100% French oak barrels. It brings out a purple red color and intense aromas of red fruits, coconuts, chocolate and tobacco. In the mouth it is fruity, silky, well balanced, and sensual with palpable, soft tannins. It is an elegant wine with an extraordinary finish.
725 samples from 12 countries were submitted at Vinandino 2011, the most important contest in the southern hemisphere (including Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, and Chile) and Latin America. The assessment process started, in the province of La Rioja, with the tasting of aromatic, natural sweet and everyday wines. Then, in the province of San Juan, it was the turn of the category, which is in this contest for the first time, “artisanal and home-made wines” and also sparkling wines and wine-based spirits, like pisco, grappa and singani. Finally, non-aromatic white wines and all the reds were tasted in Mendoza.
