Two Gold medals for Dominio del Plata at Decanter World Wine Awards 2011

At the important United Kingdom’s contest, Decanter World Wine Awards, Dominio del Plata won two Gold medals, one for its powerful and succulent Zohar Tannat 2009 and the other for the voluptuous Zohar Malbec 2010.

At Decanter World Wine Awards judges assess wines from all around the world with a pretty unique judging process. In a first stage, registered wine are classified in categories and codified according to their origin, type and price. In a second stage, wines are tasted in groups of twelve, organized by region and divided in six price classes. After that, samples are classified and assigned different levels: no price, Commended, Bronze, Silver and Gold. The gold medal winners of each region compete for the Regional Trophy. In the last stage, Regional Trophy winners compete with each other to achieve International Trophies.
