Last March, Gimenez Riili received the visit of the winning bidders of the lot the winery donated for the auction that took place in October last year at the Napa Valley Education Foundation Annual Taste for Knowledge fundraising gala. (http://nvef.org/events/taste-for-knowledge)
The lot donated for the auction was a 5 night stay for two couples at Uco Valley and Mendoza city, which included a guided tour, lunch and tasting with all the GR family as well as visits to other wineries of the Valley and other regions of Mendoza, plus a wide program of cultural, gastronomic and adventure activities.
“We had a journey of a lifetime….” Marissa Carlisle
Upon their arrival, visitors were taken to the Uco Valley to start living their “Mendoza Wine & Sun Experience” just like the name given to the lot at the auction, which was meant to mix the most beautiful landscapes, the best wines and the most emblematic of our culture and traditions. A full high mountain tour and other guided tours around the City of Mendoza and a very special local art tour, were only a few of the activities organized for Marissa Carlisle, Lorenzo Mills, Allison Saether and David Simundson during their stay in Mendoza.
The Napa Valley Education Foundation is fully committed to their mission of supporting the healthy development of all students enrolled in Napa public schools by enriching school programs, which benefits more than 18,000 students.
Gimene Riili winery would like to thank Renee Lawson from the Taste for Knowledge Gala committee, Rob Lawson from Pavi Wines and Robin Hampton, Executive Director of the Napa Valley Education Foundation, for inviting the winery to collaborate with such a good cause, that simultaneously allowed them to share with the visitors what they like the most, their blessed land and wines.
