Every year, in May, 40 of the world’s foremost tasters gather in Bourg (Bordeaux-France) for three days to select the best wines out of the 800 entries submitted from 30 different countries.
With over 70% of foreign wines, Les Citadelles du Vin has achieved such international recognition that it is now among the first-class contests of the world. The awards were handed out at the last Vinexpo that took place in Hong Kong for the Asia-Pacific market.
Bodega Santa Ana was awarded four Gold medals and a Silver medal at the prestigious contest. La Mascota Malbec 2010, La Mascota Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, La Mascota Shiraz 2010 and Unanime Gran Vino Tinto 2007 won a Gold medal each, while Santa Ana Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 received a Silver medal.
According to winemaker Rodolfo Sadler this distinction “confirms the winery’s commitment to quality that not only allows it to achieve trophies and medals in different contests, but also be present in most of the markets in the world.”
