It is a blend made from three grape varieties: Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. In this same segment, varietals and a sparkling wine will be launched soon. Cruz de Piedra introduced in the market the second harvest of its flagship wine “Cruz de Piedra Blend 2006″, winner of a Gold Medal at the last competition of London International Wine Challenge 2010.
“This differentiated, complex and elegant wine from the region of Cruz de Piedra, Maipú, Mendoza is made with three noble grapes: Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, and gives a perfect balance between ripe red fruit aromas with 18 months aging in French new oak barrels,” says winemaker Daniel Ekkert.
Today, this wine is available for Argentine consumers in leading restaurants, wine bars and three chain stores of Jumbo (Unicenter, Palermo and Pilar) at a price of AR$ 220.
