The mountains, the sunset and an exciting polo match were the perfect scene to accompany the protagonist of that evening: Cheval des Andes wine and, most important of all, its 2008 vintage.
Nicolás Audebert, Chief winemaker of Terrazas de los Andes and Cheval des Andes, defined it as the fusion of the best of the Argentine terroir and the experience of the Premier Grand Cru Cheval Blanc.
Cheval des Andes is sourced from a unique terroir that was chosen for its agro-ecological conditions. It is located in the district of Las Compuertas, one the most prestigious and renowned regions in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza.
“The Malbec featured red fruit, violets with good aromatic intensity and a surprising color. The Cabernet Sauvignon ripened very slowly which helped it turn into a very aromatic wine with notes of eucalyptus, spices and a good structure in the mouth”, said its winemakers.
Executives of LVMH and Cheval Blanc were present for the launch, among them Pierre Lurton. Also, specialized press form Buenos Aires and Mendoza and, of course, the managers and the technical team of Terrazas de los Andes.
