New wines in the portfolios of several wineries

During the next months, many wineries will launch new wines into the market. WineSur talked to some of them so as to know the characteristics of these products as well as their marketing strategies.

Piattelli is going to release the products of the Premium Reserva line from Salta, which are already on the market, with the same label of the wines from Mendoza. Besides, a new Malbec Tannat joins this line, and in the case of Grand Reserva line from Salta, it includes a Malbec 2012. Both lines are targeted at a wider public, as they are placed in a segment ranging from ARS 100 to 180; it could be said that they reach part of Millennials and part of Baby boomers. According to the winery, these products are ideal for innovative wine expert.

The communication strategy for promoting these wines will be through the media, social networks, and the winery in Cafayate. Likewise, the firm will work together with its distributors in Argentina and importers.

Moreover, Monte Cinco launched Malbec R 2010 to revive the experience of Malbec from Agrelo. This wine was born in Mendoza, from an old vineyard growing in Luján de Cuyo. According to the winery, this is a really exciting Malbec.

In addition, as Roberto Monsalvo from Dante Robino anticipated, the winery will launch 2 products. One of them is a Chardonnay within its Novecento Raices line. The marketing action for promoting this product, and the whole Novecento brand, will include important awards for consumers.

The second new product is Capriccio Dulce Natural Tardío, a natural sweet white, made from overripe grapes. It joins the Capriccio family. For its promotion, the winery has planned co-branding actions and a social media campaign through the fan page “Experiencia Novecento”.

In September, Budeguer will present Plan B Rosado Malbec- Petit Verdot and Cuatro Mil sparkler, made of Chardonnay – Pinot Noir under the Champenoise method. Both lines are different, one is young (Plan B) and the other is Reserve (Cuatro Mil).

On the other hand, Colonia Las Liebres Bonarda Rosé Brut Nature is the new sparkler Altos Las Hormigas winery is releasing in Argentina. This product joins the existing Bonarda family made up of Bonarda Clásico and Bonarda Reserva.

According to the winery, this sparkler will be firstly available for the domestic market and then it will be exported to other markets under the slogan “experiencia Bonarda”.

For its part, Salentein winery, pioneer in Pinot Noir production and leading exponent of this grape in Argentina, launched a new variety in its sparkling line “Salentein Sparkling Wines”. It is a Brut Rosé coming from the Uco Valley in Mendoza, made of 100% Pinot Noir grapes under the Charmat method, over lees for 3 months.

“Bearing in mind the sustained growth in rosé sparkling wine consumption and considering that it is a variety setting trend, the winery launched Salentein Brut Rosé into the market,” explained Martín Valese, Brand Manager of Bodegas Salentein.

Finally, Montechez winery presents its latest creation, “Alma de Luna”. It is a blend of Malbec (60%), Cabernet Franc (30%), and Syrah (10%), made by the winemaking team and the external advice of Roberto de la Mota, which targeted at high-end wine consumers and experts who look for the identity of a terroir and its winemakers through an exponent with unique features. “Montechez was born as a wine project set up to obtain Premium quality grapes so as to source great wines, based on innovative techniques, with a strict quality control, and a strong commitment to the environment,” stressed Gabriel Tellería, President of Montechez.

From this month on, “Alma de Luna” will be available in the most important wine stores of Argentina, at a suggested price of ARS 590
